Quentin Tarantino buys $14.8 million on a land in Tel Aviv
July 3, 2025With over 50 restaurants, bars, street food, cafes and chef restaurants – Nahalat Binyamin is today unequivocally the heart of the Tel Aviv culinary scene. So where do you eat on Israel’s busiest food street? Here are all the recommendations. Get ready, it’s going to be long.
Tel Aviv’s Nahalat Binyamin Street is home to fabric stores, boutique hotels, restored Bauhaus buildings, crumbling buildings thirsting for renovation, businesses of all kinds, and even a synagogue. In the early evening, it becomes Tel Aviv’s busiest entertainment area, with hundreds of tables and chairs spread out outside eateries, thanks to its transformation into a pedestrian street in 2022.
In addition to the 34 places on the list, the following places also operate on the street, which we will not expand on this time: a branch of Abulafia from Jaffa, Falafel Hasharon, Red MEAT eatery, Pita Besh, Sabich Hasharon, the food bars Bicicleta and Mozambique, Salouf and Sons, the two Persian restaurants Salimi and Shamshiri, the veteran Tipico, the Coquette cafe where time stopped somewhere in the 80s, the Prince Rooftop Bar, the veteran Goshen HaKashrah restaurant, and the first branch of Agadir, which was the hottest place in the estate in the early 2000s.

The wine bar at the beginning of Nahalat Binyamin is currently celebrating its 4th birthday and is offering an aperitif with a 30 percent discount on the entire menu (if you arrive before 7:00 PM). On the same occasion, the place is also launching a new tapas menu with raw fish, sushi and salads. In the wine section, the place mainly offers wines from Israeli boutique wineries.

For years, the restaurant was led by Chef Guy Gamzo, after whom Chef Moshiko Avraham took the reins, and today the kitchen is in the hands of Amit Malka and Raul Nisnov. A.K.A 44
If you pass by this place in the evening, you’ll immediately realize that it’s the most popular place on the street. Not a single table is free among the dozens of tables, and we’re not even talking about what’s going on in the vast interior space. Chef Itay Kushmaro serves dishes that everyone loves and coveted brunches, and right now the hottest hit on the menu is Kushmaro’s special burger, made with Israeli-raised Wagyu beef over open coals – and there’s hardly an influencer who hasn’t raved about it.

A.K.A Next Door is the new addition that opened exactly a year ago to serve as A.K.A44’s late-night bar, mainly to provide good food for the partygoers of Nahalat Binyamin.

Bar Paradiso
Bar Paradiso is the newest spot on the list, having just opened under the leadership of chef Dana-Lee Berman (Pronto, Tel A Vin, Gan Ha Shikmim). It is located in the same location where the Spagat Bar operated for a decade, in the same space with its high ceilings and tiered seating. Despite the relaxed atmosphere, Berman’s food takes the story from another wine bar to a restaurant, with the overall experience being one of energetic entertainment. And what’s on the menu? Medium-sized sharing dishes for the center of the table from Italian cuisine with classics like vitello tonto, raw fish, bruschetta and fried Italian dishes.

Chef Ruslan Osov, who is also the chef at Noama, which sits across from Loulou, is in charge of the kitchen.

Add tahini on top, you can also load up on shawarma if you really have to, tomatoes, onions and parsley, then roll it up like a loaf.
